Canada-born, Cordon-Bleu accredited, executive chef Aaron Barnett comes to 23Hoyt with exuberance and experience at illustrious restaurants such as Lumiere (Vancouver BC), Gary Danko (SF), Myth (SF), Desert Sage (LaQuinta, CA), and Olea (Portland). "When I would travel from California to British Columbia to visit family, I would work in a stop in Portland. The dining scene has a lot going on. And the sourcing and ingredients available are enviable," said Barnett. "My wife and I decided that we really wanted to be a part of that culture and made the decision to relocate." With a good foundation in place at 23Hoyt Aaron introduces a New American Brasserie concept as a jumping off point for a wider exploration of the cuisines of modern France with influences from every shore. Aaron has a great reputation for artful, consistently delicious, well-prepared food.
